This project, implemented by ‘BOBOTIS+BOBOTIS Architects’, is part of a much larger project aiming to develop the country’s air transport infrastructure and includes the upgrading of 14 regional airports: in Crete, mainland Greece, the Ionian Islands and the Aegean, by FRAPORT REGIONAL AIRPORTS OF GREECE, which has undertaken their operation, management, development and maintenance, through a Public contract.
Although this project is at an early stage, ZARIFOPOULOS, in collaboration with INTRAKAT, has already completed the installation of the Fire detection system at 8 airports (in Chania, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Aktion, Skiathos, Mytilene, Kavala, Samos) while 5 other airports are well under way, nearing completion (in Mykonos, Corfu, Rhodes, Santorini and Kos).
